Scott was able to trade a tiny bit of work for a weekend stay at a gorgeous cabin in Brian Head so we headed up there for Memorial Weekend. We had a great time, one of the best vacations our family has had I think. The cabin was awesome, had all the "neccessities" you would need like a pool table, arcade games, 7 bedrooms (would sleep 25 comfortably in beds),5 bathrooms, theater, beautiful views, sauna, top of the line kitchen (with a TV in it, a big plus with the kids :), and lots of comfy chairs and hiding places.
It rained most of the time we were there but we didn't care, we were having a great time inside. The cabin truly was beautiful and something we would not likely have the opportunity to stay in but the best part of the trip was escaping our busy life and focusing only on each other. We read (I read a really good book called Burying Our Swords by Kevin Hinkley), played games, watched movies, relaxed. One of the highlights for the kids was learning how to play pool.
Dylan & Cate just had to go on a hike!
Scripture reading Sunday morning
The sun decided to come out the day we were leaving so we stopped on the way home to have a picnic & hike around. It was a great weekend!
